PROGRAM :
Day 1 :14th of august
The adventure begins !
Arrival in the authentic village of Boltaña, which boasts the most extensive historic center in the Pyrenees, charming nooks and crannies between the houses, and excellent examples of the area’s architecture. Welcome and presentation of the program for your stay in the turquoise waters of the Sierra de Guara.Installation in your hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: 15th of august
Adults: First day of hiking in Anisclo canyon
Children: First water descent in the Sierra
Adults: You will start your hiking with one of the most spectacular spots in Aragon: Anisclo’s canyon. This deep gorge has been sculpted over centuries by the intense erosive action of the Bellós River. It became part of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park in 1982.
You’ll spend the day hiking in the canyon, then arrive at the Anisclo pass, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding peaks.
At the end of the day, you will come back to the hotel and you will be reunited with your children who spend the day in the blue canyon water.
Around 15km and 1100 D+
Children: After breakfast, a shuttle will pick you up to the starting point of your first canyon. You’ll meet up with your guide and begin a pleasant short approach walk. We begin this first aquatic descent with river swimming, jumps and slides. There’s a well-deserved picnic break in the middle. The limpidity of the water and the colors of the rock transport you directly into a marvelous, almost mystical atmosphere ! At the end of the day, you will come back to the hotel and you will be reunited with your parents.
Day 3: 16th of august
Adults: Hiking in Ordesa Canyon
Children: A day to discover a new Sierra canyon
Adults: Today you’ll discover one of the most beautiful hikes in Ordesa National Park: the Queue de Cheval hike. This route takes you into the Ordesa Valley, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, and a natural area of exceptional beauty. Along the way, you can admire the valley’s spectacular walls, uncovered by the erosion of an ancient glacier, and enjoy the various waterfalls of the Arazas river: the Arripas waterfall, the Estrecho waterfall, the Soaso waterfall… and thus discover the valley’s great wealth.
Around 17,5 km and 500 D+
Children: The guide gauged the group and consulted the weather forecasts and water levels forecast for the area. He explains his plans and we’re off for a second canyon descent! You’ll discover a second river in the Sierra de Guara, an adventure that mixes white-water swimming techniques with climbing and caving
Day 4: 17th of august
Adults: Hiking in the Pineta Valley
Children: Rafting day !
Adults: For this new day’s hiking, we’re heading for the Pineta Valley! We’re going to get some fresh air at altitude at the Marboré lake. During the hike, you’ll enjoy shady areas and breathtaking views over the Piñeta valley, the Tres Marias (Three Marys) and the majestic Cinca waterfall.Once you’ve reached the waterfall, you can stop and refresh yourself. Then a series of switchbacks takes you to the Balcon de la Pineta (2600m). A magnificent place where you feel humbled by this grandiose site!
The hike continues between boulders and takes you directly to Lac de Marboré, at the foot of Mont Perdu and Cylindre.
Return by the same route.
Back to the hotel for a rest, dinner and overnight stay.
Around 17,5 km and 1400 D+
Children: For this new day, you’ll discover a new activity: rafting! Let’s go to Esera river whose water comes from the Posets-Maladeta massif, home to the highest peak in the Pyrenees, the Aneto (3,404 m). Along its 14 km course, we’ll find magnificent waterfalls, wave trains, rapids and a guaranteed adrenalin rush! Return to you hotel and free time before dinner.
Day 5: 18th of august
Adults: Hiking to Pena Montanesa
Children: Via Ferrata or climbing initiation
Adults: Today you’ll be climbing to the summit of Peña Montañesa, a fortress with vertiginous walls overlooking the Fueva valley. You’ll take a looping route through the faja del Toro and the faja Alta, an improbable route that winds from east to west along the cliff face, offering a multitude of sumptuous viewpoints.
Around 12 km and 1300 D+
Children: Today, a new activity out of the water but full of thrills! You’ll be climbing a Via Ferrata in the Ordesa area, one of the most beautiful in the Pyrenees. We’ll enjoy magnificent views over the Broto valley and the entrance to the Ordesa valley.This is an introduction to via ferrata, where we’ll find poles, iron clamps, ladders and a Tibetan bridge to help us make pleasant progress along this spectacular route.
Day 6: 19th of august
Adults: Hiking
Children: Canyoning, via ferrata or rafting!
Adults: New hiking day ! Your guide knows your condition and will adapt the day’s hiking program to your wishes.
Children: After 5 days of activities, we will check with your guide and you what do you prefer to do for this day: another canyon, or maybe via ferrata?
Day 7: 20th of august
Adults: Hiking around Ainsa
Children: Last canyon in Sierra !
Adults: On your last day of hiking, you’ll discover the hilltop villages of Latorecilla, Guaso and its stone hamlets, then Ainsa. You’ll pass along wild paths through pines and garrigue.
Children: You will spend your last day of activities in the water of a canyon !
A the end of the day, you will enjoy all together a last dinner.
Day 8: 21th of august
Departure
After a good breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye and see you soon for new adventures in the Pyrenees !
* For people staying until August 23, is it necessary to plan an extra day of activity with a guide?
